Comics!!!!

Hey i'm back , and i'm back with comics!
Here's what i got this week here are the highlights of the week.....

First my favorite of the week Batwoman number fourteen again JH Williams outdoes himself with an almost all double page spread issue the only single page is the last one, visually this is the most spectacular comic around and the story is VERY good the back issues should be fairly easy to hunt down but if you can't find them go get the trade paper backs.
It will definitely be worth your time and money.

Indestructible Hulk from Marvel Mark Waid and Leinil Yu can't wait to see where they take this should be very good if the first issue is any indication.

Amazing spider-man 698 not a title that i follow but well i got caught in all the hype and now i kinda want to see where they go with this....

Frankenstein alive alive!!
Just Because Steve Niles is an amazing writer and Berni Wrightson is a god truly a beautiful book!

The walking dead 100

After months of anticipation issue 100 of the walking dead is out in any comic book series one hundred issues is a milestone where something special occurs.
Sadly with the walking dead that is not the case, after months of buildup it falls flat on it undead face, don't get me wrong this is a good issue but it could have easily been issue 102, 74 or 34, it doesn't stand out from the other issues.

So its been more than a month...

Since Avengers came out i was lucky enough to see an advance preview and hell it blew me away.
This is easily the best super-hero movie ever, Joss Whedon provides an inspired direction you can see that he loves the subject and gives it the respect it deserves, marvel studios have done what their Distinguished Competition haven't been able to do, and that is to make a fun movie.

Hell those are superheroes its supposed to be over the top action and be fun at the same time and marvel picked the best director to do the job.
He was able to make a helluva good superhero team movie and not turn it into Iron man 2.5 i hope that DC takes a cue from Marvel and that the rumored justice league movie is something that doesn't take itself too seriously.

So if you're one of the dozen or so that haven't seen Avengers well go to the theatre and see it now!!
'cause the dvd release is only on september 25......damn that means that i'll have to go see it again :)

Yessssss.......

Set before the Malazan books of the fallen Erikson returns with a new book , part one of a trilogy.
Coming out July 31 starting the countdown now ....

Now is the time to tell the story of an ancient realm, a tragic tale that sets the stage for all the tales yet to come and all those already told...

From amazon uk description

It's a conflicted time in Kurald Galain, the realm of Darkness, where Mother Dark reigns. But this ancient land was once home to many a power. and even death is not quite eternal. The commoners' great hero, Vatha Urusander, is being promoted by his followers to take Mother Dark's hand in marriage, but her Consort, Lord Draconus, stands in the way of such ambitions. The impending clash sends fissures throughout the realm, and as the rumors of civil war burn through the masses, an ancient power emerges from the long dead seas. Caught in the middle of it all are the First Sons of Darkness, Anomander, Andarist, and Silchas Ruin of the Purake Hold...

Steven Erikson entered the pantheon of great fantasy writers with his debut Gardens of the Moon. Now he returns with the first novel in a trilogy that takes place millennia before the events of the Malazan Book of the Fallen and introduces readers to Kurald Galain, the warren of Darkness. It is the epic story of a realm whose fate plays a crucial role in shaping the world of the Malazan Empire.
